One winter evening in 2009, a group of parents met around a kitchen table with a shared desire to provide their children with a Montessori education. Disappointed with the lack of options in Center City Philadelphia, they were energized to create a new school with an authentic Montessori learning environment, an intimate, family-oriented community, and an exceptionally qualified, professional faculty. These founding families and community supporters devoted countless hours to make this dream a reality.

In our inaugural year (2010-2011), Clementine Montessori School proudly welcomed 15 students to its first mixed-age classroom led by two Montessori certified teachers, supported by an administrative staff and a dedicated Board of Directors.

Today, the Clementine student body has quadrupled, we now offer three Primary classrooms and two Toddler classrooms.  Our enrichment opportunities have expanded to include music, Spanish and gardening. Our three Montessori primary classrooms are also complemented by our Clementine Extended Day program, our Montessori-inspired after school program. In the summer months, Clementine continues with our wonderful and fun experiences at Camp Clementine.

We are so excited to share Clementine Montessori School with friends and families (both old and new) this year!
