Julia Katowitz
Julia Katowitz (she/her) is thrilled to have joined the Clementine Montessori School community as the Lead Extended Day Teacher and Enrichment Coordinator. Julia graduated from Haverford College in 2024 with a BA in psychology. In her work as a teacher and researcher, Julia has examined the roles of parenting and cultural identity on child outcomes. Since 2020, Julia has worked as a writing and english tutor, fostering a love of learning in each of her students. Julia caters her lessons to the needs of students as individuals, developing critical thinking and help-seeking skills. Julia is developing a strong foundation in Montessori teaching through her work at Clementine, and she is eager to contribute to the Extended Day program. Outside of Clementine, Julia is a trained opera singer and loves to bake for family and friends.
Francisco Madera
Francisco Madera is a passionate teaching artist who embarked on his journey with children in 2020, finding joy in delivering lessons that spark creativity in young minds. His initial encounter with the Montessori approach occurred with a substitute teaching role at Sussex Montessori School in Seaford, Delaware. Over time, Francisco transitioned into the role of their art teacher, contributing his skills and enthusiasm from 2022 to 2023. Alongside his commitments at Clementine, he dedicates his weekends to teaching at MOORE’s Young Artist’s Workshop, nurturing the artistic talents of budding young creators. During his free time, Francisco indulges in his artwork, allowing his creativity to flourish.
Phong (Andy) Vo
Andy Vo, is working alongside Francisco and Kameryn (the amazing trio!) in our extended day program. He is from the small town of Lebanon in central Pennsylvania. He earned his Psychology Degree at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, and then spent many years teaching in an early childhood setting. Andy moved to Philadelphia a year ago, he is looking forward to exploring more of Philly, and spending time with the Clementine families and children!
